Singapore’s sixth rail line will start at Woodlands before heading towards the East Coast, and will have 31 stations spanning about 43km, Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew announces. New stations include Marine Parade, Siglap and Tanjong Rhu. ( Published from Channel New Asia, on 15 Aug 2014)

The recent announce of new station for Thomson-East Coast Line will added 9 more stations to the east.

There are :
- Tanjong Rhu Station
- Katong Park Station
- Amber Station
- Marine Parade Station
- Marine Terrace Station
- Siglap Station
- Bayshore Station
- Bedok South Station
- Sungai Bedok Sation
The stations are expected to be competed by 2023 & 2024 when the length will be 43-m long line with total of 31 stations connect from Woodlands to the CBD and connect eastwards to the far east.
